The Great War Remembered Concert - Ieper - 11/11/2011

On Armistice Day (11/11/2011) at 16.30 hrs the Last Post Association organized the eight edition of the ‘The Great War Remembered' - concert in the Ypres Saint-Martin's Cathedral.

This concert contributes to the commemoration by turning time back 90 years and to submerge the audience in the atmosphere of the Great War through instrumental and vocal music, in combination with original World War I images.

Op 11 november 2011 om 16u30 organiseerde de Last Post Association de achtste uitgave van het `The Great War Remembered -concert' in de Ieperse Sint Maartenkathedraal.

Dit concert wil bijdragen tot herdenking door de tijd 90 jaar terug te draaien en het publiek in de atmosfeer van de Grote Oorlog onder te dompelen. Instrumentale en vocale muziek van de bovenste plank, in combinatie met originele WO1-beelden maken dit concert uniek. De 1.250 bezoekers ervaarden letterlijk een muzikale evocatie van de Eerste Wereldoorlog, in het unieke decor van de Ieperse kathedraal.
