Herdenking New Zealand Memorial Park - Mesen - 10/11/2012
Op 10 november 2012, vond er in het New Zealand Memorial Park op de Mesenheuvel in Mesen, een kleine herdenking plaats met delegatie uit Nieuw-Zeeland samen met de gemeente Mesen burgermeester Dhr Sandy Evrard, schepen Roland Mahieu en tweede schepen Darline Van Eeckhoutte. Met als muziekband de West York Police Band die al enkele dagen actief zijn in de streek zoals tijdens de Last Post van 8 en 9 november onder de Menenpoort. En ten laatste, twee klaroenblazers uit Ieper.
On November 10, 2012, a small ceremony took place at the New Zealand Memorial Park on the Messines Ridge at Mesen, with a delegation from New Zealand along with the local municipality mayor Mr. Sandy Evrard, schepen Roland Mahieu and the second schepen Darline Van Eeckhoutte. With musicband the West York Police Band, wich already has been active for a few days in the area such like during the Last Post on November 8th and 9th under the Menin Gate. And last but not least, two buglers from Ypres.

De Last Post word geblazen / The buglers sound the Last Post
Bloemenhulde ter ere aan de soldaten uit Nieuw-Zeeland die hier vochten en sneuvelden gedurende de Slag om Mesen in Juni 1917 / Flower tribute to the soldiers from New-Zealand, who fought and fell here during the Battle of Messines in June 1917.

Een moment van stilte / a silent moment
Het Nationale Volkslied van New-Zeeland, de "God Defend New Zealand", sloot de herdenking in Mesen af / The National Anthem of New Zealand, the "God Defend New Zealand", ended the ceremony in Messines.
